Beech trees aren’t too common in the Charlotte Metro area, so we don’t hear about too many pest problems with them. Â Last week one of our crews brought in this sample from a beech they were working on. Â These furry little creeps, the wooly beech aphid, are a pest on beech where they are more common. Â Like all aphid species these creeps suck nutrients directly from tree leaves, which can lead to stunning and early leaf drop. Â They are great dancers though, so enjoy.
